We Won Big For Our Simply Surfside Campaign
We all know that Florida is beaches, international glamour, natural attractions and more, with an enormous tourism industry. But someone has to do the hard work of getting the word out to potential and domestic and international visitors! At the Florida Governor’s Conference on Tourism in Orlando this September 8, the annual Flagler Awards, recognizing outstanding tourism marketing, were announced. And we at Jacober Creative were honored with two first place prizes for our work for the Town of Surfside.
The Visitor’s Guide we created, part of our Simply Surfside campaign, was recognized with a Gold “Henry” in the Resource/Promotional Material-Consumer category, and in the “Best In Show” (under $500,000) category. The awards were for some kick-ass graphic design, art direction and photography which positioned the Surfside beachside locale as a destination for families and visitors. Our bright, playful and upbeat design – which had a retro/forward look that was both sexy and accessible – was one of our favorites this year, thanks to the hard work of our staff, especially Adriana Mazariegos who wore multiple hats for the project: Photographer and designer.
We’re thrilled to get this kind of recognition in a state like Florida, where tourism is a major industry, and we were competing against some serious players. Jacober Creative takes the prize!
